Event Description: Build with Strength is partnering with Habitat for Humanity International and the Insulating Concrete Forms Manufacturers Association to fortify decent, affordable, and sustainable housing across the U.S. This initiative will help to provide incredibly strong and sustainable homes for dozens of Habitat Partner Families over the course of several years. This build in Santa Fe, NM includes two houses being built side by side. Alongside construction, the NRMCA and ICFMA partner and supplier BuildBlock will be hosting on-site training events and hard hat tours for anyone interested in learning about the benefits of building residential homes with ICFs. This is an opportunity to learn in an actual construction environment, meet industry professionals, and lend a hand as the walls go up on these special projects. Who Should Attend? Contractors, designers, architects, suppliers, and anyone interested in learning about the benefits of building with Insulating Concrete Forms and concrete. It will describe why and how ICFs optimize the building envelope and minimize property losses due to disasters. This event offers up to 8 AIA-CES Learning Units with a certificate of completion. National Ready Mixed Concrete Association’s Build with Strength Coalition Partners with Habitat for Humanity International Donated concrete will strengthen affordable housing, making it more resilient and sustainable The Insulating Concrete Forms Manufacturers Association (ICFMA) is proud to partner with the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association's (NRMCA) Build With Strength Program. Build with Strength 2.0 is partnering with Habitat for Humanity International to fortify decent, affordable, and sustainable housing across the U.S. Build With Strength is donating concrete for the construction of Habitat homes and will work directly with local Habitat organizations to support home builds across 16 locations. Backed by the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA), Build with Strength is a coalition of architects, builders, engineers, emergency services personnel, policymakers, and others committed to solving challenging housing issues.
